Parent Obligations:

As a parent of an SNS child, you will be required to assist your child’s teacher in the classroom several times a semester from 8:45-12:10. The number of helping parent days, also known as Student Leader Days, will be determined by the class size. This obligation may be met by an adult family member or caregiver.

Enrollment:

Enrollment is on a yearly basis. In accordance with state procedures, a child who turns 3 on or before December 1st is eligible for the 3-year-old classes. A child who turns 4 on or before December 1st is eligible for the 4-year-old classes. Presently enrolled children and siblings of alumni will have first priority to register for the following year. Enrollment for new students to the school will be on a first-come first-served basis. In the event that an opening is not available, the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list. In accordance with New York State Public Health Law #2164, all children entering the Nursery School must be up to date on all immunizations. All children must be potty trained by the start of the school year. All applications must be accompanied by a registration form and registration fee.

Children enrolled in the fall semester are automatically enrolled in the spring semester.
